FEATURE SESSION:

Panel: May I See Your I.D.? Consistent Mobile Age Verification for Content Providers

More and more consumers are using their considerable purchasing power on mobile content. A carrier-agnostic age verification service can help brands and content providers alike cater to the entire age spectrum.

Several North American mobile operators have announced or launched parental controls with content blocking during 2007, and more companies are expected to follow suit in 2008.  Each operator has unique procedures and rules for setting parental and/or age-specific controls for their subscribers, and there are many carrier-specific requirements placed upon brands and content providers that want to launch mobile marketing initiatives, adding costs and creating confusion among consumers, brands, and content providers.

This panel of experts will discuss a variety of age verification methods and show real world examples of what works effectively and what doesn't

Monetizing The Global Market for Adult Content While Meeting Operator Requirements
The market for adult content is world-wide but what's the best way to capitalize on this so you can charge people for content no matter where they are in the world? Not all mobile operators allow adult content to be charged to the subscriber's bill so credit card is the ideal alternative. This presentation looks at the best ways of collecting payment and maximizing your earning potential.

Search marketing and advertising have become popular ways of driving users to adult content. When users browse in from search and advertising, you need to be able to collect payment when users browse in from search and advertising. It's expensive to buy adult search traffic so it's important to keep users coming back for more by providing repeat customers with special offers. Above all, you need to meet operator requirements for adult content.

Marc Saulino, Business Development Director, Bango

Mobile Commerce Platform - Options and Alternatives

Consumers want to browse, shop and buy from their phones. However the form factor mismatch between current web content and device screens have left users still hungry for an experience that delivers the type of instant access and gratification that they have become accustomed to from their PC.

In this session we will examine the question - What does a user experience need to be a mobile phone? and explore the different alternatives.

· Are WAP sites sufficient for mobile commerce?
· Are on-device portals/rich clients the way to go?
· What investment will be required to build a storefront?

Increasing Operator Revenues by Managing Targeted Access Policies to Restricted Content

As mobile content usage surge and mobile operator’s responsibility to a secure and targeted user experience is increasing, some unique measurements need to be taken to ensure adherence to content regulations and user privacy needs. Using a holistic approach via the use of parallelism of policy management concepts, Content Filtering systems achieve the ultimate balance between the will to increase revenues whilst protecting the religious and civil rights of the consumers.

The presentation will show how an operator can adhere to privacy needs and regulations using a flexible policy management across any required channel, Utilize intelligent classification methods and accumulated context information for applying real-time access polices on restricted content,
manage the challenging task of defending non-suitable users from receiving improper content andsupport a variety of access policies to any segment and customer niche over multiple delivery channels

Branded Adult Content vs. Generic Adult Content

This presentation investigates the perceived value of the adult brand. Top brands often demand a premium revenue share, sometimes even high minimum guarantees, arguing that customers are more likely to purchase a brand, and therefore generate more revenue for the mobile operator. But is this true or just wishful thinking? Based on real data generated through a range of leading mobile operators, we will discuss whether it is preferable to offer customers branded content or generic content that is cleverly packaged. We will also discuss the whether made-for-mobile content is worth the investment as well as the way content should be positioned and presented to customers. Finally, we will investigate whether the content is dependent on the type of distribution channel and the promotional tools that are used.

Jonathan Sheoham, Chief Marketing Officer - Yaiimuno

Erotic Gaming And Mobile Gambling

Demographic Influences On Mobile Web Usage
The demographic profile of consumers is a major factor in how the mobile-web is used to access mature content. This means that user behavior is not one-size fits all in the mobile content world, and mature content providers must reach consumers through a wide set of techniques.  This includes reaching consumers through multiple mobile channels, while integrating the fixed-online web experience, the offline experience, and the mobile-web experience

Leveraging Mobile Assets To Their Fullest
Today there is a flurry of solutions that claim to provide content providers the ability to "mobilize" their offerings, yet challenges remain for Adult oriented providers. Many of these solutions may result in mobile based content solutions while carrying the high costs that System Integrators typically have been known for. This leaves content providers running on very small margins that can be upside down at any point in time, while competing with many other internet based solutions. Screen size and Network Speeds have finally offered valid solutions that can compete on a performance basis.
These issues point to the real need for plug-ins that provide secure, effective means to leverage all that a mobile network has to provide. Larger pipes, faster speeds, better screens, all point to the ability to leverage mobile network assets such as location and presence allowing new, innovative services to the consumers never possible before. By allowing plug-ins through Web Service based solutions, carriers are now in a position to allow Third Party Service Providers to plug in to their network through IP based solutions.
